REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS: As part of theDepartment?s implementation ofe-Government, we are requiring the submission of applications throughGrants.gov. There are several one-time actions you must complete in ordertosubmit an application through Grants.gov (e.g., obtain a Dun and BradstreetData Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number, register with the CentralContractor Registry (CCR), register with the credential provider andregisterwith Grants.gov). You must complete all the one-time actions in ?GetStarted?at www.Grants.gov prior to submitting your initial application. Applicantswhoare not registered with CCR and Grants.gov should allow at least 14 days tocomplete these requirements. It is suggested that the process be startedassoon as possible. The DOE BTP is seeking applications for projects that will advance, validate, and extend the features and capabilities of DOE?s EnergyPlus buildingenergysimulation program to evaluate zero-energy buildings, and to promote theuse ofEnergyPlus by the building industry. This effort is an integral componentofthe BTP Analysis Tools Program. EnergyPlus is a building energy simulationprogram for modeling building heating, cooling, lighting, ventilating, andother energy flows. While it is based on the most popular features andcapabilities of BLAST and DOE-2, it includes many innovative simulationcapabilities such as time steps of less than an hour, modular systems andplant-integrated heat balance-based zone simulation, multizone air flow, thermal comfort, and photovoltaic systems. A range of EnergyPlus licensesareavailable and are intended to foster and encourage innovation in theprivatesector. Private developers can obtain EnergyPlus source code and preparederivatives under modestly priced commercial licenses. An end user licenseagreement grants the basic right to use EnergyPlus in executable form at nocharge. Over 31,000 copies of EnergyPlus have been downloaded since it wasfirst released in April 2001.To view the Master Announcement, go to this link:https://e-center.doe.gov/iips/faopor.nsf/8df825feb86675de852564650046faea/686751b0b46cff508525701c0049afff?OpenDocument
